Day 1 and 90 comparison

I'm done with the most card-core experience of my life, P90X!

It's weird thinking that I could learn so much from simply doing P90X. I've learned to push through when the going is tough. I've learned how to control my thoughts and focus on the moment. P90X has caused me to realize that I am capable of so much more than I have give myself credit for. One year ago, I would have never dreamed I could do 97 consecutive days of P90X, for more than two hours a day. It really is incredible.

My balance is considerably better, I'm more flexible, faster, stronger, more confident, mentally tough, and just  an overall better athlete. Not to mention, I look better than I ever have in my life. P90X is for real!

I would say that controlling my mind, thoughts, was the most difficult aspect of my P90X experience. The human body is capable of so much more than our minds tell us. So, in the middle of a workout, when I'm near the breaking point, the state of mind I am in determines whether I am going to push through or not. Every time I completed a workout, I  wrested control of one more portion of my mind. Now that I'm finished, I feel like I have total control.

I'll admit, when I first started, I wasn't very mentally tough and occasionally stopped before I should have, because my mind told me I couldn't do anymore. Over the past 97 days, I have conquered my mind. I believe I will be able to apply what I have learned while doing P90X to every aspect of my life.

That's the end of this project. I'm not sure what my next challenge will be. If you have any ideas, feel free to comment. By the way, If any of you have ideas on how i can make this blog more interesting, feel free to comment bluntly. Should I write more often?Anyway, thanks for following! Until next time, bye :)

Day 75

On Sunday night, I didn't fall asleep until 4 am. I'm assuming I couldn't sleep because I had a coke and a sprite that night. Usually, the caffeine wouldn't effect me, but I haven't had any in a very long time. Needless to say, I slept in Monday morning. I decided to be smart and skip Cardio X and only do Chest and Back. I figured doing too many workouts on such little sleep would be counter-productive. It was the last time I'll do Chest and Back, cause I only have Two weeks Of resistance training left.

On a positive note, I did as many push-ups as the people on the actual P90X DVD! Words cannot express the sense of accomplishment I feel right now! Those Psychos on the DVD have already finished the program and are grown men. On Day 1, by the end of the workout, I did 157 push-ups. On day 75, by the end of the workout, I did over 320 push-ups. WHATTT! I'm serious.

My goal has always bee to do as many push-ups as them. I finally can. It's cool :)

Well, That's it for today. I am gonna go do Plyometrics, Yeah...........

Day 68 Am Cardio X, Pm Plyometrics ( need I say more)

I did almost two hours of  Cardio today. Tony Horton had me jumping up and down, running, squatting, going forward, backward, just crazy calorie burning and heart pumping work!

I don't know if you all remember, but when I first started, I could barely survive Plyometrics. Now, I'm doing Cardio and Plyo on the same day and feeling great. Don't get me wrong, I'm burning calories, sweating like hell (as Tony would say) and getting absolutely worn out, while having a good time. That's the beauty of P90X. It's a beautiful workout program with variety, fun moves, and a really funny instructor.

I don't think I'll ever understand why everyone isn't doing it. It's real, fun, and challenging. The instructor is funny and there is variety. You never get bored and your body doesn't plateau because it got used to the moves. P90X is for everyone, of every fitness level. It's awesome! Well that's my sermon for the day. Talk to you all when I feel like, bye. :)

Day 67: am Cardio X;
             pm Chest, Shoulders, and Arms

Twenty three days left! It's 8:20 pm and I am so tired. Cardio X in the morning and Chest, Shoulders, and Arms in the afternoon. I did every move until failure. It was really fun and really difficult.
Man, over the last two months, I've learned a lot about myself. P90X has really forced me to dig down deep and find out what I am maid of. Honestly, I've really impressed myself. Two years ago, I wouldn't have even attempted P90X. Now I'm almost done and I am getting really good results!

That sickness                                            Turned into                          That awesomeness

I am going to keep bringing it until the end!

Day 56  Core Synergistics

OK, Core is by far my favorite workout! There are two reasons why: first, it is really intense! I love intensity; intensity makes me happy.Tony Horton had me sweating like a wild man after the first three moves. That is insane. Secondly, the moves are just fun. Your doing chest, legs, abs and butt; it's everything in one beautiful, intense, fun workout. On top of all that, you're so focused on the workout that it's over before you know it. Today, I did every move until failure. Talk about total, beautiful, exhaustion! It was fun.

That's Tony Horton. 53 years young
I'm over half way done with my 90 day challenge. I think I am getting good results; however, I'm scared that I won't look as good as I'd like by the end. I'm gonna have to up the intensity level A LOT! We'll see if I get the results I hope and of......
